The first issue of JFW magazine that I have worked on is out now. I’ve taken on a role as sub-editor of the magazine’s UK edition and will now be plucking out inaccuracies, catching typos and thinking up some killer headlines and standfirsts for the magazine from now on.
The first issue to cross my desk was The Magic Issue, a winter edition of the magazine published in December 2014 (issue 26). Some of my favourite headlines from the issue included Beyond our wildest dreams (a feature by Emma Crichton-Miller about the surrealist art movement), Far from the madding crowd (a travel feature by Mavis Teo about her adventures to Tibet) and Hang tough ( a trends feature by Clare Lazaro on tough-looking accessories).
I’ll be starting work on the spring issue of JFW very soon, which has a Free Spirit theme. In the next issue I will also be writing some of the magazine’s jewellery pages, looking at jewels to fall in love with.
